Use a clean, water-dampened cloth to wipe the alcohol mixture away and then dry the countertop.

Tough Stains

If a stains develops on your granite countertop, you will want to use baking soda to remove the stain. This should be done as quickly as possible for best results. If the stain is water-based, such as juice, mix equal parts baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in a bowl to form a paste. If the stain is oil-based, mix equal parts baking soda and water to form a paste. Rub the paste over the stain and place plastic wrap over the area to lock moisture in. If needed, the edges can be taped down. Allow it to sit overnight. Wipe the paste away in the morning. If the stain remains, allow the mixture to sit on the countertop for a couple of days at a time.
