One of the best ways to clean your granite countertops is with regular dish soap. Simple fill your sink up with warm water and a squirt of dish soap, and then dip a soft cloth in the soapy water. Wipe down the counters, rinsing the cloth occasionally. After the entire surface is clean, rinse the cloth and wipe down the countertop to remove soap residue. Then use a soft cloth to dry the stone so there are no streaks or water spots. Never use a scrubbing brush or abrasive item to wipe your granite countertop as it can scratch the stone.

Granite countertops should be regularly disinfected to remove germs and bacteria. The easiest way to do this is by mixing equal parts water with isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. Use a clean, water-dampened cloth to wipe the alcohol mixture away and then dry the countertop.
